Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee waste management programs, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations while promoting sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits of waste disposal practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with local authorities and environmental agencies to develop strategies for proper waste segregation and recycling initiatives.
• Provide training and support to staff on waste management protocols, ensuring all personnel are informed about best practices and safety measures.
• Monitor waste management budgets and allocate resources effectively, optimizing cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of service.
• Compile and analyze waste management data, preparing reports for management that highlight trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Engage with the community to raise awareness about waste reduction and recycling efforts, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in waste management technologies, integrating new practices that align with organizational goals.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in waste management or environmental services, demonstrating a track record of successful program implementation.
• Certifications in waste management or environmental sustainability (e.g., SWANA, LEED) are highly desirable and will enhance your candidacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and community members.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in training and mentoring staff to foster a culture of compliance and sustainability.
